Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger, has revealed how he convinced the club’s new signing, Timo Werner, to snub a move to Liverpool for the Blues. Chelsea officially completed the signing of Werner for £53 million from Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig last week, seeing off competition from Liverpool. The 24-year-old striker will link up with the rest of Chelsea’s teammates at Stamford Bridge next month. US actor, Danny Masterson charged for raping three women

Danny Masterson U.S actor, has been charged with raping three women in separate incidents in 2001 and 2003. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office in a statement on Wednesday confirmed that it earlier declined to file sexual assault charges against Masterson in two other cases because of insufficient evidence and statute of limitations. It was revealed that all the alleged rape incidences took place at Masterson’s Hollywood Hills home. Neymar to pay Barcelona £6.1m

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, has lost a lawsuit over unpaid bonus against barcelona. and has been orderd to pay his Barcelona £6.1million, Barca confirmed in a statement on Friday, that Neymar’s claim to a £39.5m payment has been “fully dismissed”. The Brazilian left the Spanish club for PSG in 2017 for a world record fee of £201m (€222m). Nigeria to start trial of COVID-19 ‘life-saving’ drug

Dr. Osagie Ehanire,Nigeria’s Minister of Health, on Thursday said there will be clinical trials of a drug, Dexamethasone for COVID-19 patients. The British government had announced that Dexamethasone, a cheap and widely available drug was effective for patients seriously down with COVID-19. Boris Johnson,British Prime Minister, had said UK researchers said the drug has reduced COVID-19 deaths risk.Dexamethasone reduced death risk for patients in ventilators by one-third and oxygen by one fifth. Man City set to form guard of honour for Liverpool

Manchester City have revealed they would be willing to form a guard of honour, if Liverpool are confirmed Premier League champions before the two sides meet, the UK Mirror reports. Liverpool are just six points away from clinching their first premier league title in 30 years. And they can ensure they finish first, by defeating Everton and Crystal Palace in their first two fixtures, when football resumes. However, if City lose to Arsenal next Wednesday, a win for Liverpool at Goodison Park will be enough. Liverpool are then due to visit the Etihad on July 2 and Guardiola is understood to be ready to honour his rivals.
